Join our Stepping Stones Educarer Team

Do you have a passion for helping children grow, learn, and create? Then we’d love to have you as part of our team!

As a Stepping Stones educarer you will be joining a small, supportive team of dedicated people. We’re all committed to providing quality education and homebased care with a strong philosophy of respectful care and a culture of kindness.

The educarers all meet up for weekly playgroups and music group. We organise regular ‘whole team’ excursions too. The carers all stay in touch with each other and organise play dates.

Our coordinator meets all new children and their families before she brings them to meet you. Children are placed with educarers based on the best fit for the child, their whānau and you, the educarer.

You’ll need a Level 4 Early Childhood qualification which we can support you to attain while working for Stepping Stones.

You’ll also be supported and mentored by our early childhood teacher who checks in with you regularly.
